Common issues and their solutions.
Recording Won't Start#
- Check permissions — Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording and ensure ClipMac is enabled
- Restart the app — Quit and reopen ClipMac
- Check for conflicts — Other screen recording apps may interfere
No Audio in Clips#
- Check System Audio permission — System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen & System Audio Recording
- Verify audio settings — On the dashboard sidebar, select "Audio" and ensure your audio mode is configured
- Test microphone — Use the live waveform test in the Audio section
Clips Are Choppy or Low Quality#
- Reduce buffer duration — On the dashboard sidebar, select "Recording" and lower the buffer setting
- Close other apps — Free up system resources
- Check video quality — In the Recording section, verify your video quality setting
Hotkeys Not Working#
- Check for conflicts — Other apps may use the same shortcuts
- Reset hotkeys — On the dashboard sidebar, select "Hotkeys" and customize to new keys
- Restart ClipMac — Re-registers global hotkeys
Upload Fails#
- Check internet connection — Stable connection required
- Verify storage quota — Check cloud storage limits in the Cloud section
- Try smaller file — Large files may timeout; try compressing first

If issues persist:
- Go to Settings → About
- Click Send Feedback
- Include diagnostic info from the Debug section
- Describe the issue and steps to reproduce
